One of the UK’s most innovative and exciting club nights gears up to mark another ring on the giant oak of clubland -as Shaanti turns five.

The Shaanti collective have gone all out to bring together the very best names in the dance scene to celebrate their birthday in style. Nitin Sawhney and guests will be jamming with the crew on Friday 27th February at the Medicine Bar in Birmingham.

This award winning club night and record label has gone from strength to strength establishing themselves as the leaders in Asian club sounds! In the last five years they have showcased the world’s superstars from the music scene, as well introducing fresh new faces time and time again.

As well as breaking their own attendance figures - the night attracts club enthusiasts back in their droves. Their secret of their success is to promote original while challenging musical perceptions by uniting innovative musical forms of dance sounds as one.

February also marks Shaanti as being the longest running fusion-underground club night in the UK.

Their ground-breaking line-up has placed them at the forefront of the world’s music and club circuit; as its night presents a vibe that no one else has managed to pull off! They’ve bashed out the beats (without a break every month) for half a decade and now they’ll be doing what they do best only bigger and better – for their 5th birthday bash.

The party will be hosted in four unique rooms, each offering a different flava:

Room 1: Main Room
Nitin Sawhney
Nitin will be performing (1 and 1/2 hour DJ set + 1/2 a hour acoustic Bass/Keyboard/Vocal) to some of his favourite tracks from his albums alongside tabla maestro Aref Durvesh.

Shahin Badar (Live)
Shahin Badar who was responsible for the eerie, yet unforgettable vocals on Prodigy’s ‘Smack My Bitch Up’. Now she’s teamed up with Tim Deluxe from Underwater to release one of the hottest dance tracks this year entitled ‘Mundaya’.
