This year’s theme for the annual event is ‘We can help you break free’ which is exactly what NHS Stop Smoking services do for smokers wishing to quit.

The stop smoking team will be offering advice on the best ways to quit smoking. This event is part of the NHS City and Hackney’s 2010 Smokefree campaign.

In addition Hackney’s smokers are being offered free nicortine replacement therapy at Boots the Chemist’s Hackney stores until the end of March. People wishing to quit who sign up with the eNHS Stop Smoking service in participatring Boots stores will have free medication.

NHS City and Hackney operates a number of free drop-in clinics for smokers in Hackney.
