Style Icon Rohit K Verma returns to the UK
Indian fashion guru set to dazzle at Birmingham’s International Convention Center
with exquisite new collection – SARV ATELIER.

Charismatic Bollywood designer Rohit K Verma is set to return to the UK this month in spectacular fashion. Verma, one of India’s most recognised fashion personalities is to make his presence felt at the British Asian Hafta Awards ceremony at the International Convention Center (ICC) in Birmingham on Saturday 25th October. The evening of awards, which mark the start of a 2-week celebration of the contribution of Britain’s South Asian community, will be Verma’s first show in the UK since the Miss India Britain beauty pageant in January this year. And he’s not returning alone, Verma has teamed up with fellow fashion visionary, Sanjeet Anand to create their stunning new collection - SARV Atelier.
 
The last time Rohit Verma was in the UK his dramatic fashion choreography went down a storm with distinguished guests from Britain’s thriving South Asian fashion and media industry and the charming Verma is preparing a more extravagant show this time around. He says “SARV Atelier is the new collection created by myself and Sanjeet Anand. She and I are hoping that our new garments are warmly accepted on my return to the UK, which is a global hub for the hybrid of Eastern and Western fashion. We are very much looking forward to putting on a fantastic show at the British Asian Hafta Awards, my first visit to Birmingham.”
 
Having conquered the catwalks in India, the combined force of SARV Atelier is firmly focused on setting a new trend in the UK by showcasing an elegant array of garments, which are influenced by a fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. It is this aspect of Rohit Verma’s work which makes him a pioneer of cross-cultural fashion globally. Having designed for several Bollywood films and for celebrity fans such as Liz Hurley and screen icon Aishwariya Rai in the last 5 years, Verma plans to give the West Midlands an exclusive first glimpse of his new collection with a catwalk show at this years British Asian Hafta Awards. He will also be presenting the award for Best Female Employer on the night.
 
As well as designing over 200 stunning garments for current hit Indian reality TV show “Saas VS Bahu” (translates as “Mother-in-law VS Wife”), Rohit Verma will also be making a cameo appearance in one of the season’s hotly anticipated Bollywood releases, the aptly titled “Fashion”, which stars former Miss World Priyanka Chopra. The film is set against the glittering backdrop of the glamorous but ruthless world of India’s booming haute couture fashion industry and Verma’s involvement adds to his profile as being one of India’s most talked about fashion personalities, a regular in the Mumbai tabloids.
