Ulfah Arts Logo Hakawatiyyah – the storyteller is a pioneering international musical production supported by the British Council and developed by Birmingham based Ulfah Arts, and DAM Music Festival, Kosovo. The UK premiere of this exciting concert will take place at UK Centre for Carnival Arts in Luton on Sunday 23rd May 2010, the premiere will be followed by a live tour of four other UK Cities including Birmingham ,with the tour finale at Richmix, London on Friday 28th May 2010.

best_newcomer Stars of the British Asian Music Scene were in full attendance last night at the Brit Asia Music Awards Media Nominations Party. Set in the casino in Ricoh Arena, Coventry guests were treated with Champagne and Canapés courtesy of Mahirs Catering. The V.I.P guests all waited in baited breath to hear Sukhi Barth, Brit Asia TV presenter announce the winners for the 14 categories’. Sendhil Ramamurthy and Olga Sosnowska If sources are to be believed, ‘Staying Alive’, the evergreen disco song by Bee Gees, has had a stunning makeover on the soon-to-release soundtrack of Gurinder Chadha’s keenly anticipated comedy, ‘It’s a Wonderful Afterlife.’ Given the popularity of Bhangra music worldwide, noted British-Asian DJ and music producer Bally Sagoo is said to have given a new avatar to the hit single by fusing it with traditional Bhangra beats and called it ‘Staying Alive Desified’.
